How I lost my wife

HAVE I LOST MY WIFE TO
ANOTHER MAN?

Dave and Clara have been
married 4 over nine years
without children. They
stayed with each other
and hoped that they will
have a child before their
10th year of marriage
because they were being
persuaded by family and
some friends to get a
divorce but they couldn’t
let go because of the love
between them.


Months passed...by and
while Dave was returning
from work one day, he
saw his wife walking down
the road with a man and
they looked happy.

Another evening, while
Dave was coming back
from work, he saw the
same man drop her off at
the house. Dave became
angry and sad.

Two days
later, after a hectic day at
work, Dave was taking
water with a glass jug
when the phone rang. He
picked it up and the
person said ‘hello dear, I’ll
be coming to your house
this evening to see you as
promised. I hope .....’’
and then Dave hung up the
phone.

It was a male
voice. He was sure the
person was the man he
had seen with his wife. He
suddenly became shaky
with this thought, ‘’Have i
lost my wife to another
man?’’ At that point, the
glass jug fell from his
hand and shattered into
pieces.

Then Clara came running
into the room asking, ‘’Is
everything okay?’’ In anger
he gave his wife a push
and she fell. She wasn’t
moving or getting up.

Dave then realised that
she fell where he broke
the glass jug and a large
piece of glass has pierced
her. He felt her breath,
pulse and heartbeat but
there she lay lifeless. His
wife was dead.

In total
confusion, he saw an
envelope in her hand. He
took it, opened it and was
shocked by its content. It
was a letter and it reads:

‘’ My loving husband,
words cannot express
how I feel, so i had to
write it down. I have been
going to see a doctor for
over a week and wanted
to be sure before I give
you the news. The doctor
confirmed it that I am
pregnant with a twin and
our babies are due in 7
months from now.

The
doctor also happen to be
my long lost brother
whom I lost contact with
after our marriage. He
has promised to take care
of me and our babies and
give us the best without
collecting a dime.

He also
promised to have dinner
with us today. Thanks to
you for standing by
me...... your loving wife.

As the letter fell from
Dave’s hand, there was a
knock at the door and it
was the same man he had
seen with his wife... and
he said ......’’ hello Dave, I
suppose am right, am
Max, your wife’s
brother.....’’And suddenly
he noticed his sister in the
pool of her blood .... he
rushed her to his hospital
but it was too late, his
sister, Dave’s wife was
gone and so were the
twins..

LESSON:
In our relationships,
which include our
marriage, we should not
be too quick in reacting
when we haven’t
questioned our partner or
spouse on what we saw
or heard about them.

Communication, Trust and
Patience are rare gifts we
can bring to our
relationship.

Not everything we see or
hear or believe is right
about them.

And to every man or woman on dis platform, I pray that patience will have her
perfect way in you and you will want nothing because patience is that great virtue you need to keep any relationship working.

- Super Eagles placed in pot 4 for 2018 FIFA World Cup draws 
- Nigeria cannot face other African teams in the group stage - October 2017 edition of the FIFA ranking was used to allocate pots The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been placed in pot 4 for the final draws of the 2018 FIFA World Cup to be held in Russia. 

- The only teams Nigeria cannot face are those from Africa and Serbia, Australia, Japan, Morocco, Panama, Korea Republic and Saudi Arabia who are all placed in pot 4 also.
Morocco was also placed in pot four. Senegal, Egypt, Tunisia are the other African nations and they are all placed in pot 3. This means Nigeria expect to be group with one of Denmark, Iceland, Costa Rica, Sweden and Iran. Pot 2 features Spain, Peru (last team to qualify), Switzerland, England, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay and Croatia. Pot 1 includes host Russia, Brazil (first team to qualify), Germany, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland and France. 

The October 2017 edition of the FIFA ranking was used to allocate all qualified teams to the four pots according to their ranking in descending order, after hosts Russia who take the top seeding spot. 

No teams from the same confederation, with the exception of UEFA, which could have up to two teams in the same group, will be drawn into the same group. The final draw will take place on Friday, December 1 at Moscow’s State Kremlin Palace.

Chelsea's year after third league defeat and second in a row

Antonio Conte has warned that Chelsea may struggle this season after his side’s title challenge was derailed at Crystal Palace.

The Blues were deservedly beaten at Selhurst Park in a game where the lack of depth in the champions’ squad was laid bare.

That isn’t something that will be lost on the disappointed Conte, who spent much of the summer lobbying for further reinforcements but still hopes that Alvaro Morata will be fit for Wednesday’s visit of Roma.

And as Manchester City opened up a nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League, Conte warned that with a thinner squad the expectations of his team can’t be the same as last year.

“It is not one defeat but two in a row and for sure this is a not a positive moment for many reasons. We are playing without important players and every game we have a new injury. Today Moses's injury is another big loss for us. A defeat is always a defeat… this season will be very difficult for us. For this reason we have to put 150% in. 100% won't be enough. 

“Last season is the past. Now it is another squad, different players, and for this reason if we compare last season we didn't play Europa League or Champions League. This season we are facing four competitions and we are having a few problems doing this. When you have a few injuries, you are in trouble.”

And Chelsea’s title challenge is in trouble. After being outplayed by Manchester City things had already begun to look difficult but defeat at Crystal Palace is altogether more damaging.

The last time Conte lost two consecutive league games it pushed him into the major change that virtually won them the title last season - switching to a 3-4-3 - but Chelsea don’t have the time to take such drastic action with hours on the training field increasingly scarce in a packed schedule. 

Should Alvaro Morata return in midweek that solves one problem that emerged during the defeat at Selhurst Park, namely Michy Batshuayi.

While the Belgian has looked good against lower-league opposition and has had impact as a substitute, he was a complete non-factor against Crystal Palace. So poor, in fact, that even when chasing a lead Conte decided to withdraw Batshuayi and try to salvage a draw with no recognised centre-forward on the field.

”The Italian was reluctant to single out his only fit striker for criticism, however.

I think the performance of the whole team was bad, not one player or two players, but all the players today. Our performance was bad. The performance of the whole team was bad. Not one or two players. Why do we have to speak about Batshuayi and not other players?

“It is normal to be angry after a bad performance, but every player had a bad performance.”

Conte can no doubt improve the mood around the club with a win over Roma but increasingly it is looking as if the Champions League, not the Premier League, will be their best chance of success this season.
