Declare your health status, Soyinka tells Buhari …says President is public property
Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has requested that President Muhammadu Buhari unveil his condition of wellbeing to Nigerians, expressing that the President is an open property.
Soyinka, at a gathering in Lagos on Friday, themed, 'Holy Cow', depicted the hypotheses encompassing the President's actual condition of wellbeing as avoidable.
The Nobel laureate said Buhari's inability to freely reveal his condition of wellbeing had expanded political controls in the nation.
Buhari was on Wednesday missing from the Federal Executive Council meeting and the Juma'at benefit at the mosque in the Presidential Villa on Friday.
Soyinka stated, "Why is the President concealing his condition of wellbeing? He should comprehend he's open property; me, I'm as yet private property, that is the reason I'm not in Aso Rock (Presidential Villa).
"When you are in Aso Rock, or you possess a comparable position, you have a duty to turn out honestly to your nationals.
"Give him a chance to address the country and stop every one of these theories which make superfluous political controls in addition to other things."
The famous dramatist additionally raised the alert that his Abeokuta nation home, Ogun State, had been attacked by herders a moment time and that the matter had been accounted for to the police and the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Adedotun.
